
NSW Government fulfils election promise for Tweed road safety

TWEED Shire Council is set to receive $70,000 towards the Road Safety Signs Project thanks to the NSW Government as part of the $37.2 million Local Small Commitments Allocation Program.
LISMORE MP Janelle Saffin has welcomed news that Kyogle Football Club is set to receive $20,000 towards improved oval drainage as part of the NSW Government’s $37.2 million Local Small Commitments Allocation Program.
LISMORE MP Janelle Saffin says $50,000 allocated by the NSW Government towards a large capacity water tank at Tenterfield Aerodrome is already paying dividends, with water bombers using the tank water to fight bushfires in the area.
MEMBER for Lismore Janelle Saffin is encouraging local groups to apply for two NSW grants programs that have just opened, one aimed at encouraging women’s and girls’ participation in grassroots sports and the other for maintaining and improving Crown lands reserves.
MEMBER for Lismore Janelle Saffin says grants are currently open for a number of initiatives to support local communities.
Member for Lismore Janelle Saffin says community organisations have until August 21 to get their applications in for the latest round of Community Infrastructure Grants.
