Janelle Saffin MP’s lobbying of governments for betterment to be allowed in infrastructure rebuilds from natural disasters has paid off with a NSW-first pilot program benefiting local councils to the tune of $42million.
Janelle Saffin MP is asking NSW Minister for Regional Transport and Roads Sam Farraway MLC to revisit the issue of student safety at the school bus interchange in downtown Lismore post-flood. She’s also put bus services on the agenda.
While Janelle Saffin MP has welcomed Transport for NSW’s confirmation of planning for dual carriageway of the Bruxner Highway between Goonellabah and Wollongbar, she is insisting that interim safety measures should come first.
Budget Estimates hearings have revealed that not one single kilometre of a promised 15,000 kilometres of regional roads have been transferred from local councils to NSW Government ownership and management.
