LISMORE MP Janelle Saffin is encouraging local veterans’ organisations to apply for a share of $205,000 in funding under the Minns Labor Government’s 2026 Veteran Community Grants Program.
Ms Saffin said that this year a new Infrastructure and Equipment category has been introduced to help organisations improve facilities and equipment that support veterans and their families.
“The new category will support projects such as minor building repairs, equipment upgrades, lighting improvements, storage solutions, marquees and Automated External Defibrillators,” Ms Saffin said.
She said applications must align with and be submitted under one of the below category descriptions:
- Local history, heritage and education.
- Public commemorative events and commemorative spaces.
- Provide support to members of the New South Wales veteran community.
- Infrastructure and equipment.
Category 1, 2 and 3 projects can apply for a maximum of $3,000.
Category 4 projects can apply for a maximum of $10,000.

Applicants should review the program guidelines before starting your application. Applications close on Wednesday 11 November 2026 at 5pm.
Outcomes are expected to be announced in late January 2027.
