EXPRESSIONS of interest (EOIs) are officially open for the NSW’s Government’s Community Building Partnership (CBP) grants program, with $450,000 available for our Electorate of Lismore.

Lismore MP Janelle Saffin invites not-for-profit community organisations and local councils to complete an EOI for grants between $10,000 and $100,000 to bring local projects to life under the 2026 round of the CBP program.

“In our Electorate of Lismore, we are looking for small infrastructure projects that will improve people’s lives in your local community, Local Government Area (LGA), or if regional in scope, the Northern Rivers,” Ms Saffin said.

“Other Electorate District priorities may include how your project supports volunteerism and community service; promotes social inclusion and connectivity; increases participation in sport and recreation, fosters the arts and culture, cares for our environment, or preserves local history, including community hubs like country halls, heritage buildings and museum collections.

“Parts of our Electorate have been impacted by natural disasters such as floods, bushfires and storms. If applicable, we need to know how your project might better prepare people for these impacts.”

This year, the 2026 CBP grants round will use a two-stage application process, beginning with an expression of interest. Interested organisations and councils are encouraged to apply before EOIs close at 5pm sharp on Friday, 8  May 2026.

Shortlisted EOIs will be contacted by the end of June 2026, with successful grants to be awarded in early 2027.

Since 2009, the Community Building Partnership program has awarded more than $505 million to over 22,400 community projects across New South Wales.

A total of $41.85 million in funding is available for the 2026 CBP round for projects which support more vibrant and inclusive communities.
