STATE Member for Lismore Janelle Saffin has congratulated six local sporting clubs in her electorate on securing their share of $50,000 under the NSW Government’s Local Sport Grant Program 2025.
“There was a record number of applications for this funding round, and I acknowledge and thank all clubs for putting forward their worthy projects for assessment,” Ms Saffin said.
“The successful projects range from minor facility upgrades to purchasing new equipment, with the common aim of increasing participation in sport and active recreation.”
Local Sport Grant recipients are:
- $14,720 to Murwillumbah Vulcans Australian Football Club Incorporated towards its Revamping the Vulcans project, upgrading club facilities.
- $14,223 to Kyogle Netball Association Incorporated towards its court lighting upgrade.
- $8,783 to Rainbow Roos AU Incorporated for its Inclusive Soccer – Celebrating Diversity Through Sport project.
- $6,209 to Cawongla District Tennis and Recreation Club Incorporated towards Sustainable Battery Powered Energy.
- $3,500 to Lismore Richmond Rovers Football Club towards upgrading football equipment to support player development and participation growth.
- $2,565 to Lismore City Archers Incorporated to update archery equipment in 2025-26.
Electorate-wide total: $50,000.
The program is administered by the NSW Office of Sport.
