Service NSW helps low income households save
ELIGIBLE low income households can reduce the costs of their energy bills by accessing a range of rebates via Service NSW.
- Families who receive the Family Tax Benefit can save up to $180 on electricity with the Family Energy Rebate
- Pensioner Concession, Health Care and DVA Gold card holders can save up to $285 per year with the Low Income Household Rebate
- Self-funded retirees can save up to $200 per year with the NSW Seniors Energy Rebate.
Save up to $600 a year on electricity bills with solar
- If
you receive the Low Income Household Rebate you may be eligible to swap your
rebate for a free, fully installed, solar system to save money on your
electricity bills.
If your home is not suitable for solar, you may be eligible to swap your rebate for up to $4,000 worth of energy efficient upgrades in your home.

Keep your cost of living down by saving on household expenses:
- If you’re a pensioner and own and occupy your home, you may qualify to claim the Pensioner Water Rebate
- Save up to $110 per year on your gas bill with the Gas Rebate if you’re an eligible Pensioner Concession or Health Care Card holder
- Save up to $250 per year on council rates if you’re an eligible pensioner.

Get discounts on energy efficient lighting
