LISMORE MP Janelle Saffin is encouraging grassroots organisations to apply for their share of $400,000 in State funding to deliver projects that respond to local community needs and strengthen social cohesion.
Ms Saffin says applications are now open for the Minns Labor Government’s Stronger Together Project Grants program.
“Grants of between $20,000 and $50,000 are available for projects that create lasting positive outcomes for communities across our Electorate of Lismore,” Ms Saffin says.
“We’re looking to support practical projects that bring people together, break down barriers and promote social cohesion.”
The program supports projects that:
- support new migrants and refugees to settle and participate in their communities
- break down barriers to social and economic participation
- build intercultural and interfaith networks
- strengthen community resilience and support communities through challenging times.
The new projects will be delivered between 1 January and 31 December 2027. Applications close at 4pm on Monday 14 September 2026.
