MEMBER for Lismore Janelle Saffin said work is continuing on the new sports court and landscaping at Wollumbin High School over the school holidays, in preparation for Term 3.
“The Department of Education has been continuing upgrade work at Wollumbin since the return to two separate high schools in Murwillumbah at the beginning of 2025.
“To date this has included new music classrooms and recording studio, upgraded Technology and Applied Studies rooms and administration spaces, additional learning and support facilities and improved cooling, ventilation and stormwater drainage.
“Work is continuing during the school holidays on the new futsal and pickleball court for the school and remediating the area from had housed the temporary demountables.
“The Department says the new sports court and landscaping are expected to be finished in time for Term 3.
“This is the last stage of the upgrade and I look forward to visiting the school to see the finished results.”
