Spring and Summer holiday break grants now open

LISMORE MP Janelle Saffin is urging eligible organisations to apply for State funding to support free holiday programs for young people across her electorate.

The NSW Government’s grant program for the next school holiday periods is now open.

Member for Lismore, Janelle Saffin is urging eligible organisations to apply for funding to run free programs in the Spring and Summer school holidays.

“The NSW Office for Youth is offering grants from $1500 to $10,000 for the delivery of free, structured activities for young people aged 12 to 24 years.

“There is an additional $2000 available for programs in remote or very remote areas.

“The Holiday Break program supports events and activities that help kids get active and social in the holidays while building their skills and confidence.

“For example the Momentum 2026 all-female skateboarding competition in Lismore this month has been funded under the Office of Youth Holiday Break program.

“There is a strong focus on removing barriers to participation and all programs must be free to participants,” Ms Saffin said.

Eligible organisations include Councils, Aboriginal organisations, not-for-profits and community organisations.

Applications close on Friday 22 July 2026.  Details at officeforyouth.nsw.gov.au
