$116,485 in Crown land grants across Lismore Electorate

LISMORE MP Janelle Saffin has congratulated recipients of funding under the NSW Government's Crown Reserves Improvement Fund. Applications are open for the next round.

STATE Member for Lismore Janelle Saffin says nine projects across the Lismore Electorate will share in $116,485 in NSW Government grants under the 2025-26 Crown Reserves Improvement Fund.

“These grants will help local Crown land managers deliver practical improvements, with a strong focus on habitat restoration, weed control and protecting natural landscapes, that will benefit local communities,” Ms Saffin says.

This year’s grant round recipients include:

  • $24,648 to Kyogle Council for habitat restoration through weed control at Fairymount (Wogun)
  • $21,648 to Dorrobbee Grass Reserve Land Manager for weed control at Dorrobbee Grass Reserve, Dunoon
  • $19,360 to Byrangery Grass Reserve Land Manager for weed control at Byrangery Grass Reserve
  • $10,604 to Rous County Council for bush regeneration at Albert Park Reserve
  • $10,560 to Border Ranges Richmond Valley Landcare Network for weed control at Collins Creek Road Bridge
  • $9,821 to Border Ranges Richmond Valley Landcare Network for weed control at Hanging Rock Falls Reserve
  • $9,680 to Lynches Creek Reserve Land Manager for weed management and habitat restoration at Lynches Creek Reserve
  • $5,940 to Rous County Council for bush regeneration at Tunglebung Recreation Reserve
  • $4,224 to Border Ranges Richmond Valley Landcare Network for river restoration through weed control along the Richmond River 

Ms Saffin also encourages eligible Crown land managers to apply for the 2026–27 Crown Reserves Improvement Fund round, with funding available for new projects across New South Wales.

The 2026–27 round of applications will be assessed on reserve usage, community impact, deliverability and affordability.

The Fund is self‑sustaining and supported by revenue generated from Crown land, including leases, licences and other income streams.
