Saffin says book now for one-on-one assistance for flood grant applications

Janelle Saffin MP's consistent calls for more personalised assistance for flood-affected locals has resulted in Service NSW offering one-on-one appointments of up to 45 minutes' duration at Lismore Workers Sports Club in Goonellabah.

Member for Lismore Janelle Saffin says flood affected people in Lismore and surrounding areas can book in for one-on-one personalised support with flood assistance applications.

A team of NSW Government flood grant specialists will be in Lismore from 6 to 10 June to provide personalised appointments for residents, businesses and primary producers to progress their grant applications.

“Over the past three months I have had so many people come to me distressed about problems applying for flood assistance and the complexities of the different grants and eligibility guidelines.

“I have been calling for better support for people through the application process, and am pleased that a team of grant specialists is now coming to Lismore to provide much needed one-on-one appointments.

“There are seven NSW Government grants available for individuals, households, business owners and primary producers and the grants assessors will have the latest information about eligibility and be able to guide people through the application process,” Ms Saffin said.

To book a session or for further information call Service NSW on 13 77 88.

Appointments (up to 45 minutes) will be held in the Anzac Room at Lismore Workers Sports Club, 202 Oliver Avenue, Goonellabah.

Bookings are recommended and there will be a limited number of places for walk-in appointments
