A call to action for our Prime Minister

Australia is in a climate crisis, Australians need reassurance, Australians need you to lead Prime Minister, to provide this reassurance.

Australia is in a climate crisis, Australians need reassurance, Australians need you to lead Prime Minister, to provide this reassurance.

Communities are on fire; communities are in drought; communities are running out of water;

Communities are hurting, fearful and yes resolute;

Our much-loved firefighters are exhausted, have given much, but need more;

Our emergency services are stretched to the limit;

Our volunteers are worn out, but still giving;

Our farmer’s resources are depleted, our farmers are in dire straits

and need to know there is a future-in-farming;

Our businesses, the lifeblood of our regional and rural towns;

are hanging in there, but running on empty;

Our communities know we are in a crisis, yet cannot understand why the Australian Defence Force (ADF) was not called out sooner and stronger;

Our communities are experiencing catastrophic conditions, but where are the Category D National Disaster Relief and Recovery Assistance (NDRRA) catastrophic declarations;

Our communities need a new roadmap to better respond, recover and rebuild – the old roadmap of response and recovery, is for times past;

Our communities need to know that there is a national plan that allows all governments, all authorities, and all communities to respond, to our very own Australian climate crisis;

Our communities need to know that the national plan will get us through this bushfire crisis;

Our communities need to know that the national plan will get us through this drought crisis;

Our communities need to know that the national plan will get us through this water crisis;

Our communities need to know that the national plan will get us through this climate crisis;

We need you to address the nation and state; to be inclusive and call a truce to the Canberra combat;

Over to you Prime Minister.

Australians, quiet and noisy, need you to lead.
