NSW Parliamentary Secretary for Disaster Recovery welcomes that Tenterfield Shire LGA has been disaster declared as the full impacts of Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred become clearer. She has been lobbying for this outcome for several days.
A $15-million Community Recovery Support Fund has been activated for 15 Northern NSW councils and their communities being impacted by Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
The Minns Labor Government has publicly thanked SES volunteers, emergency workers and residents for again stepping up to protect their communities on the North Coast.
The Minns Labor Government is encouraging local councils to support supermarkets and other essential retailers working under exceptional circumstances with Cyclone Alfred bearing down on Northern NSW.
